Metropole Learning

Metropole College Ltd, trading as Metropole Learning, is a private company, limited by guarantee. Established in 1994 as a TEFL College, Metropole Learning started delivering government funded provision in January 2000, offering Basic Employability Training from our then location in Paddington.  In April 2001 Metropole Learning started delivering contracts for the Employment Services (now JCP) in Basic Employability Training (ESOL and Literacy) which led to the opening of a second learning centre in Kentish Town.  In 2003 we started delivering a range of workforce development programmes and this work continues to grow today.  In 2004 the success of this programme led to us relocating from Paddington to a 12,000 square foot (sq/f) building  in Bayswater and expanding our premises in Kentish Town by a further 3,500 sq/f.  We continue to deliver from these sites today and through continued expansion we have opened a further three centres across London.

In 2006 funding was transferred from JCP to the LSC and we again saw further expansion of our contracts developing a range of provision over several JCP Districts.

Our state of the art learning centre and new Head Office opened earlier this year in Dalston Kingsland covering 22,000 sq/f.  We had to move out of our previous premises as demand for provision outstripped the 10,000 sq/f location.  In addition, last year saw the opening of a small learning centre in Stratford and a larger centre in London Bridge.  The London Bridge centre has been such a success we are currently looking for further locations in the area.

Future plans include the further expansion of current delivery, alongside offering teacher training for new entrants into the industry.
