Course Overview
This is a practical, work related course, which has been designed to improve the skills of individuals and increase their chances of employment within the travel and tourism industry. It is expected that most students will progress to the Level 2 First Diploma in travel and Tourism before finding employment.
Who is the Course is for?
Those who want to work in the Travel and Tourism Industry and have at least basic literacy and numeracy skills. These will be needed for work, learning and to help you achieve your full potential.

Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are necessary; those interested will be considered on an individual basis. You should have an IELTS score of at least 5.0. or equivalent
Learning Methods
There will be practical and theory classes to include: - discussions, workshops and role play where you will participate in group work and individual activities.
Assessment Methods
You will be assessed through written projects, discussions, presentations and on line assessments.
Qualifications Gained
CGLI Level 1 Introductory Certificate/Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
Progression Opportunities
City & Guilds Level 2 First Diploma in Travel and Tourism
Career Possibilities
Junior or trainee in the Travel and Tourism Industry, e.g. travel agent, airport check-in, overseas representative, working in a visitor attraction.
