London Bridge is a vibrant and cosmopolitan area full of interesting sights to explore and things to do. Our London Bridge centre is set within walking distance of some of London’s well known landmarks such as the historic and colourful bustle of Borough Market which is one of the largest food markets in London, and sells a large variety of foods from all over the world. It is also near to the IMAX Cinema which shows 3D films and has a screen that is more than 20 metres high and 26 metres wide, making it the largest in Europe. Situated on Newington Causeway, our centre is also close to Elephant and Castle which is currently undergoing a major regeneration scheme which plans to build more than 5,000 new and replacement homes. The area has a lively mix of people, with more than 100 different languages spoken. This provides a cultural diversity that can be clearly witnessed amongst the locality. From Polish delicatessens and West Indian market stalls, to Latin American restaurants and traditional London pubs, Elephant and Castle has something for everyone! Dalston is a busy, vibrant and quickly developing area in Hackney, East London. It has a range of tempting restaurants and takeaways to eat delicious food and a lively open air market selling fresh fruit and vegetables. It is also home to the Kingsland Shopping Centre which has a range of well known outlets. Dalston has a variety of high street shops which sell unusual, off the shelf items. If you are looking for entertainment, Dalston has the well-known Arcola Theatre and Rio Cinema which is built on a site where leisure has been provided for almost 100 years. There are also a selection exciting bars and clubs such as the Dalston Superstore and Vortex Jazz Club which is hosted in the Dalston Culture House. More recently, the area has seen a major regeneration with the construction of Dalston Square, a new C L R James Library and an extension to London Overground which now runs from Highbury and Islington to the heart of Lewisham and Croydon. Dalston is just a 20 minute Overground ride away from Stratford, where the 2012 Olympics are due to take place.
