EMPLOYABILITY SKILS PROGRAMME:
Branches where we offer this programme: Royal Oak, Kentish Town, Hackney and Borough.
What we offer - Unemployed adults between the ages of 18 and 65 ESOL and Literacy along with Numeracy, IT and Job Search which includes professional ‘one to one’ assistance with creating or developing CVs, telephone and interview techniques, help with covering letters, advice and guidance. All learners will also have access to a Learning Support tutor if they feel they have learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia/Dyspraxia, ADD or ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrom.) Once the learning difficulty has been identified by our qualified Learning Support Manager an appropriate learning plan will be set out for the learner. Programmes run from 12 weeks, there are full – time (20hours p/w) or Part – Time (15 hours p/w) courses available.
Why we offer it – Our aim to help people improve and gain qualifications in English and as it is a focused job training course we help them access a higher level of employment opportunities in the UK.
Outcomes they achieve – All learners at entered for recognised qualifications according to their level both in English and Numeracy. Cambridge – Skills for Life ESOL: E1 – Level 2 (Level 2 is an equivalent to G.C.S.E). Cambridge – Skills for Work: E1 – Level 2. AQA – Assessment Qualification Association: Literacy – E1 – E3, Numeracy – E1 – E3. ASDA – Employability Award: Level 1 – 2.

SKILLS FOR JOBS – Local Employment Partnerships
Branches where we offer this programme: Royal Oak, Stratford and Hackney
What we offer – Learners an intensive work/training programme in this case Security Training to get their SIA License. We also offer customised training in care, Retail and Hospitality for specified jobs. They will receive an in depth one to one support in Job Search which includes professional ‘one to one’ assistance with creating or developing CVs, telephone and interview techniques, help with covering letters, advice and guidance.
Why we offer it – Our aim is to help clients who are unemployed, underemployed, from ethnic backgrounds, disabled or hard to reach client groups the opportunity to get a job in the Security field.

SKILLS FOR JOBS – High Level ESOL for Professionals
Branches where we offer this programme: Royal Oak, Kentish Town, Hackney, Stratford and Borough.
What we offer – Learners who have a high standard of education and good work experience from their home countries such as Dr's, engineers etc help to brush up on their English skills in order access the UK job market and compete for the high level jobs they did in their home countries. This can be combined with Sills for jobs 1
They get in depth 1 to 1 support from advisers in interview skills, job search, CV writing. They are offered work placements and work trials.
Why we offer it – Our aim is to help learners who have a high standard of education an opportunity to achieve a high level of employment in the UK as they would in their country.
Outcomes they will achieve – High Level ESOL or IELTS (International English Testing System – for learners who intend to study e.g. University where English is the language of communication)

SKILLS FOR JOBS – ICT and Employability

What we offer - We run a variety of Skills for Jobs Programmes across the business including supporting people to improve their employability skills so they can gain employment. Programmes run from 12 – 26 weeks (depending on need) for 15 hours a week. We also offer work placements, work trials and individualised job………services.
Why we offer it – Our aim is to work with employers to develop bespoke courses to meet their recruitment needs, and working with overseas professionals to gain the most adequate language qualifications so they can access high level employment opportunities in the UK.

What we offer – ESOL for Parents (children must be in school) ESOL and Literacy (E1 – Level 2) along with Numeracy, IT and Job Search which includes professional ‘one to one’ assistance with creating or developing CVs, telephone and interview techniques, help with covering letters, advice and guidance. Programmes run from 1 to 36 weeks, Part – Time (15 hours p/w).

SERVICES AVAILABLE TO ALL ESOL LEARNERS AT METROPOLE
ESOL (Foundation & Employability Skills)
LITERACY (For learners who have a high level of speaking e.g. mother tongue but are illiterate)
NUMERACY (From Levels E1 – E3)
IELTS (International English Testing System – for learners who intend to study e.g. University where English is the language of communication)
IT (e-mails, basic computer skills in conjunction with job search e.g. filling out and printing application forms, e-mailing CV’s, registering online with agencies, reading job advertisements and extra training e.g. driving qualifications, security guard qualifications.
